You aren't supposed to use mass edit, just tag script. It goes wrong too much.

Haven't had any problem with it, mainly since I only use it to deleted a ton of tags, therefor only 2 times of use, tag script you can't delete tag only add them.

Besides, I don't recall him saying we "can't" use it, just to refrain from use it, "unless you know what you're doing, it's very easy to mess things up" I believe what he said to me on MSN, though he might have said something different to you. Either way it worked fine, and it seems to do ok if you just work with one tag at a time.
Tag script can delete a tag, by removing all uses of it. Tags with 0 posts get removed daily by an automated script.
Then what the hell do you type in the box? Everything I've tried didn't work...
Just like in a search, ' -tagme' removes it.
Hmm I guess it glitched when I tried that, because it didn't do anything.
I propose deletion for the tenshi tag. Her real name does not really spoil anything.
Ah, we were just hanging onto it because of the whole Harmonics/clone thing. As the clone is NOT a regular char, I think we can safely delete Tenshi too...But I think we're waiting for the series to end before a solid decision: Lord only knows what Maeda Jun will pull at the last minute.
Ya, let just wait for the anime to end then we can make a final choice on if it should stay.
okay??? I vote agest deleting it..
Because someone may only remember her by that name and now that you deleted it, he'll or her will never find her....
Well it wouldn't be completely deleted, when you search it, it will show the name instead of tenshi.
Well, there's still the matter of keeping Tenshi as an Alias or an Implication. Right now, it's both. We'll probably delete it as a separate tag though.

There's also the problem of "tenshi" being a generic word in Japanese, rather than a proper name or term referencing something in particular that's unique. Konachan uses english terminology for the most part, so that's not much of a problem, but since "tenshi" equates "angel" in a broader sense, I think it'll be better to delete tenshi completely at some point later on. I doubt Kanade will be the only char to be known as Tenshi. For the time being, aliasing it should be enough.

But we'll see come next month what Shuugo wants to do. (Kanade's his favored pet currently, after all ^_~)
Well also oh spoiler, well not really only a spoiler to those who didn't pay attention in the first ep.
I'm indiferent on this matter... but I'll say that as long as a couple of characters call her "Tenshi", it should stay.
Really it should be setup the same way black_rock_shooter_(charatcter) is done, but like I said we should really wait till the anime is over. Plus it doesn't really need to change until we get another character named tenshi.
Say, considering the work being done on the wiki as of late, should we start a Wiki Forum Thread, or keep wiki discussions in here, since the wiki is composed mostly of tags anyway?

I ask since a Wiki thread would cover all topics and related things to the Wiki without having to go off-topic here in this thread. (Formatting, layout, definitions, spoilers, detail level, etc.) That way this thread can focus on tag relations (implications/aliases), removal, editing, etc. (i.e. general clean-up/maintenance/streamlining.)

What happens here can be carried over to the Wiki thread for integration into the Wiki as needed.

Thoughts/Opinions?

There's also the fact I kinda wanna publicize the Wiki a bit more so we can get other regulars to help out with it. ^_~

The Wiki ain't one of the most popular things on Kona, that's for sure...

Well if you want me to do every single Touhou character (100+) ... sure... I'll help~
I don't even think most people even realize Konachan HAS a wiki...Then there's the purpose it's suppose to fulfill.

And there's the amount of time and effort required to get DECENT entries (content that's mostly correct and useful; nevermind the formatting effort!)

Maybe those that know of it see it as a "power-user" area or something. (There's only 4 users who appear regularly as editors for the past month or two: all are pretty active/veteran users.)
Just noticed there are both Hakua Ugetsu and Ugetsu Hakua. I would guess Ugetsu Hakua is the correct one, but can anyone confirm?
ugetsu_hakua is the e-shuushuu tag, but hakua_ugetsu is the correct order.
There is no such thing as E-ShuuShuu tag for character. You can't create tags... nor can you delete them... anyway, character field on Shuu is free to put whatever you want(no, not like here... it doesn't make any tag... just text).
Erm, Tensa, it is an artist's name.
I don't know how e-shuushuu does it, I just know that is where it likely came from.

I reviewed crossover and made some changes. Maybe I did some mistakes too, so you may want to verify.
Well, AB! is over. Any ideas on how we wnat to deal with the Tenshi tag? Plus the fact that Yuri's and Hinata's full names were revealed?

Also, we need to change the wiki entries for Parody and Crossover: they're exactly the same. I pretty sure most users don't realize Kona has a wiki, but it's a nice resource for defining the usage of tags and stuff for future reference.

I'll probably edit the wiki entries for the tags mentioned in korokun's post to reflect their intended usage in the near future (hungry and thirsty at the moment ^_^; ).
Change them to the ANN names, and put a "did you mean" thing on then.

BTW for those who've seen the last episode. spoiler
Tenshi is a case of late introduction so the tag should be removed.
I say remove tenshi and the implication, but keep the alias for now.

BTW, concerning the discussion from post #78375: should we make yuri an ambiguous tag? It's a proper term as well as a given name for females. SciFi made a good point concerning that tag.

I already placed aliasing requests for Yuri and Hinata to their respective full names. Just waiting on Shuugo to review them.
I was thinking...

Why don't we keep the "tenshi" tag (even if it mean angel) with "tachibane_kanade" together, and only redirect "yuri (angel_beats!)" to "nakamura_yuri"? Because lot of people will start to watch Angel Beats now, even if the anime have just ended, and don't know about they real names yet. What's the big matter to keep the both tags in the same post? That don't cause a big disorder in konachan, and describe both characters perfectly.
And the matter with the meaning of "tenshi" actually doesn't exist, because (I can't remember who say it) konachan's tagging is in English and not in Japanese.

That's my opinion based and summarized on other opinions, I think...
For right now its fine to leave the tags as is, the problem lies in the fact what happens when another anime comes out with a chacater named tenshi?
Then we do as we always do, append the copyright to the name for the new one.
