I tend to pick my animes to watch by seeing a character I like or a scene from an AMV I like, and then doing a quick check on the plot. But I sometimes can't find the name of the anime I'm looking for or the character. Here people can put pictures or videos (AMVs) and let other people try to name them for you.

I'll go first. I posted this same video in the AMVs forum and it never got responded to.

The maker only provided a few of the shows used, and none of the sites with this video could provide the rest.

Are you looking for a particualr anime to ID or do you want someone to list appearances of each anime in time order?

If you just want one or a handful of scenes named, I suggest giving us the approximate timestamps so we know where to look. Otherwise we'll just be spitting out names of things you probably already can ID by yourself.

I think he just wants to know what anime are in the AMV's so he can check them out. Also he probably wants this to be a game as well Stahn. Honestly, I did this a couple years back a lot more than I do now since the AMV's I get now I know practically all of them even if I haven't watched those anime.

Btw Cruser, if you were refering to the AMV he linked, Dragon Crisis isn't there cause it was made before that show.

0:16, 0:59, 1:37, 2:16.

I don't know about the 2nd one, but in that order it's Sacred Blacksmith, Rosario + Vampire, and Seitokai no Ichizon. Out of those 3, Rosario is one you should've actually recognzied, since it's popular I guess. That doesn't imply I don't like it I just can never tell the popularity with some shows over others sometimes.

If you mean PRECISELY at 0:59 (the shot of someone's mouth and gloved fingers), that's also Rosario+Vampire. I believe that's from the S2 OP sequence.

And R+V is only well known because I believe GONZO did it and it was one of the high profile series that had horribly blatant/cheap censorship during its airing (damn Bats and bears).

My personal bias is bleeding into this, but the R+V anime series (both seasons) sucked compared to the manga version. Hell, S2 went on a complete tangent after introducing Kokoa. (Which seemed to be the sole reason they even bother with S2, considering the event of the rest of the S2 anime.) S1 at least SORTA followed the manga up to a point.

Anyway, back on topic: any other requests?

i agree, rosario + vampire anime was not even like the manga in season 2... i think it followed it partly... like... kokoa sending moka all those creepy bat letters, the whole business with mizore's homeland-but not completely followed, the anime cut tons of scenes !__! the anime doesn't show tskune training with ruby either.... most good scenes were not in the anime ¬__¬ /rant over

as for the amv i recognise a few of those characters... rosario-obviously 0.59 1.37 2.58 3.02 3.03, sora no otoshimono-2.56, haruhi suzamiya-1.26 2.09 , fma-0.42, spice and wolf-0.34 2.18 , ore imo-0.35 0.40 , naruto-BLEH 1.27 2.51 3.00.. asobi ni iku yo-1.20 2.51 ...i should know many others, but i don't recognise them... !__! ooh, i thought 1.00 was meruru from ore imo for a second XD

Well to keep this on topic I'm going to ask which anime is between 0:05 - 0:10, 0:38(same anime in 0:44), 0:48, 1:12 - 1:14, 2:12 and 2:16. It's the same AMV we have been talking about. The bold text are those anime I'm more intressed in.

I meant the second half of 0:59-1:00 (the magic fight) If I were to guess I would say 1:54 is the same. If not, I want to know that one too.

I see that now. I've only seen up to episode 10 in the first season.

1:54 isn't the same. It's another show called To Aru Kagaku no Railgun. Another very popular anime which I myself enjoy. I myself still think half the show is a tie-in with the manga even though it's not in there. That isn't really a spoiler but more of an insentive to read the manga to know what I'm talking about.

Oh and if you mean 1:54-1:55 instead of say 1:53-1:54, that's Saki, a mahjong centered anime with hot chicks and an insentive on no-pan.
