I would have to agree that I would like to see catgirls in real life myself...

Hmm . . . catgirls would be nice (But I'm allergic to cats T_T). So I wonder what there is that I wouldn't be allergic to? Hypoallergenic dog girl? That wouldn't be too bad. I can't decide. They're all adorable. Well, except for something weird like a opossum or centipede girl... So yeah, foxgirls, catgirls, doggirls, bunnygirls and any other cute furry animalgirl would be awesome to see in real life.

Yep, catgirls. Some animals should never cross that line; I never wanna see a duck-billed Platypus girl or a Three-Toed Sloth girl. Heck, even a Shark-girl would have a HUGE nose. I don't wanna see any Insect girls either; can you imagine a Cockroach girl, Yuck! A Porcupine girl might be cool; not in bed but you could make her a great bodyguard.
Sadly there are girls like that and I've seen the pictures. It's some monster girl encylopedia thing and it's more than just features. They're like centaurs in how they're half and half but it's still weird.

I don't edit my posts if someone else posted after me already. Unless the error is something significant and/or my editing it won't affect the flow of conversation after said post. But that's just me.
And just to add my thoughts on the matter (so I'm not completely off-topic), I think I'd be fine with catgirls. At least girls with more feline traits. I think it's be pretty cool if a met a girl who could purr and had cat eyes. A tail would be fine as well. I dunno how I would want to handle the whole ear aspect though.

I'd have to question where I want the tail as well, now that I think about it: out from the natural human tailbone is? Or further up on the lower body (this I believe is more typical, no?) I think the typical spot is more around where the back meets the buttocks when standing. (So more like where the spine meets the pelvis, give or take.)
I'm semi-realist even when it comes to things like this. Things just have to logically makes sense and be reasonably feasible to me. I mean, I would love to have a girl with wings as well, but I've yet to fully think of how/where the bones for the wings would really attach to the body. I've thought of a modified shoulder blade, but that would make for some very odd joint and ligament designs. (Image the amount of muscles needed to just flex the wings, much less actually use them if they are large enough to be flight capable.)

Most of the time magic is involved when dealing with wings and since you cant really put a logical spin to magic it all works. I've never seen a show/LN where a character had permanent wings.StahnAileron said:

That's not always the case. I've seen higher, like the Deviluke sisters in TLR. I even think the Catian in Asobi are slightly higher up (though I think they try not to show the attachment point directly.)Tiki said:

And yes, wings tend to be more "magical" in nature as the norm. Only recent anime/manga I've seen/watch that have permanent wings was Sora No Otoshimono. Even then, Ikaros can shrink her wings and Nymph can hide/cloak her wings. I think Astraea is the only one to keep her wings fully deployed more of the time. When, I think there's Hiyori as well, but she doesn't get much show time after her main arc. (I believe her arc is the focus of the SnO movie though.)
Actually, fairy wings wouldn't be that bad. I would mind an angelic hacker loli like Nymph. She's not an animal girl though, so she's off-topic.

After some deliberation on the subject of animal girls, I think, in the end, I, and possibly the world, would be happiest with moemon. Whether you like the series or not, it's hard to complain about the variety.
