Did you not go with the anime's i suggested? If not, you know have a solution to your problem. If you did and didn't like them... well i can always recommend something different.

Are you too busy? If it's an issue of not knowing any anime to watch then I'm confused. Afterall, you were given plenty of suggestions. And like Tiki said, if you didn't like those than there are a lot of other anime to try.

I just had a thought. Have you watched any original anime movies yet? I know a few that you might like.
Anyone have any manga they would like to suggest?
These are the ones i'm currently reading/read
That link is a personal link tied to any account a user might have at that site. I clicked on it and it showed me MY follows.
(- _ -) so it didn't work huh...Well that sucks. Guess i'll just say that I don't read Shoujo, shoujo ai, Shounen ai, Yuri, Yaoi, Smut, josei, and sports.
Oh speaking of the devil I saw you on Batoto the other day in the comments on Nisekoi^^

Anyway I have no idea which mangas you have read so I will simply put some out for you. I will even give you some Manhwa (Korea style of manga). There sure is many good ones.

Mangas:
World Embryo, Omamori Himari, Koi Neko, Mangaka-san to Assistant, Koharu no Hibi, Minamoto-kun Monogatari, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei, Fujimura-kun Mates, Tonari no Seki-kun, Kikou Shoujo wa Kizutsukanai, Iris Zero and Black God.

Manhwa:
Noblesse, Tower of God, Crepuscule, Green Boy, Come Spring, Witch Hunter, and Moon-Ah.
Lol. Ya it's kind of hard to let you guys know the manga that i'm reading/read because the links don't work when it's on a profile. So i'll do this instead, Manga's, Manhwa, and Webtoons that i am following on Batoto This link will work sense it's a bunch of screen shots of my follows.
No im good on suggestions for at least a few months. I try to watch anime but every time i get ready to watch it i get side tracked and end up watching something on Youtube or play a game. Even though i watched anime everyday for at least 10 hours a day for all of the summer break i feel like i don't watch enough. How anime do you guys watch daily?
If I'm just keeping up with current stuff, about 1-2 eps day averaged out over a week. Slightly more sometimes at the beginning of a new season until I know what I want to keep watching and what to drop (or just bores me.)

If I'm playing catch up, closer to 4-8/day until I'm done with what I'm actively watching. I can finish off a 12/13 ep series in one day if I have the time and I like it to some extent.

You sound like me when I first started marathoning anime. I usually got sidetracked by konachan and youtube. I've gotten much more focused now that I've set a goal for myself. I also figured out what I want on my priority list and the order to watch them in so I don't waste much time anymore... no... everybody else wastes enough of my time already -3-

You're doing just fine, I'm pretty sure that's more than most people here. But just how much anime are you planning to watch before you slow down?

I usually watch around 14 to 16 hours of anime daily but now that I go to summer school four days a week I lose a lot of time -3- I'm gonna speed up my pace again between summer school's end and september to make up for lost time. If things go my way, I'll finish the 2008 anime and still be able to take a break and get organized before school starts.
You are lucky that you can watch that much. I think i slowed down recently because i have to start school tomorrow from August 1st to the 31st of May. My school just started a 9 weeks on than 2 weeks off this year so i don't think i will even watch that much except weekends and those 2 weeks. At least i will watch more than nothing. Another reason i think i slowed down recently is because i'm trying to watch Nanoha and it doesn't have the genres i like in it. Im not going to drop it though because i still like it but not enough to watch it like the other series i have watched.
I wonder how much free time I have to watch anime when I begin uni.

Anyway Tiki any of my suggestions that catched your eye?
My mom's trying to get rid of my (meager) manga collection on the "It's of the devil" basis -3- thoughts?
That's stupid. I can understand a certain level of control for obvious educational reasons or whatever, like having you do a bit better in school or something, but getting rid of something like manga is too much. Is your mom very religious or something? You might as well tell her that she should shackle you in a basement for a basis such as that, because almost everything would be "of the devil" with that train of thought. Unfortuately manga is man-made, as with everything around you in a house.

I'd really suggest after you "put out the fire" with your mom that you lay low on the anime. Seriously you should do something else, like play video games or relax and listen to music. You don't need to be spending that much time watching anime for some list on anime of a year. I know you want to finish but you have to accept the fact that you aren't going to get it 100% done. I'm not saying to give up but to ease it down and take more time. It's probably because of what you're doing now that your mom might be acting that way. And no more saying it's because you haven't seen as much anime as some of us here. I'm pretty sure by now you know more anime than a little over half the people I'd see at an anime convention.
No offense, but you got some issues besides catching up on anime if your (main?) reason for marathoning anime is because you feel like you haven't watched as much as many people here seemingly have.

I'm 30, so I had a lifetime to watch what I have to date. I didn't marathon much. A series here and there, but I never treated watching anime like a project/job the way you are. As Bardiche mentions, your mother may be acting the way she is now because of your current behavior. Even I feel like I'm overdosing on anime at times. (Though it's mainly of the "same shit, different char design" variety.)

Honestly, I think you're wasting your time if you keep marathoning anime and not really letting it sink in and stay with you somehow. I mean, seriously, are you watching anime because you really want to, or is it because you feeel like you have to? I've watched a lot, but even I have to say there's some stuff others have watched that I haven't even touched. Even popular stuff, like TTGL or BRS. (Though to be honest, the OAV and the handling of the franchise in general turned me off to the series long ago.)

If you feel like you're pressured to watch more anime to "make up" for anything, you really need to reconsider/re-evaluate your priorities.

As for the manga part: if it's small enough and you have someone you can trust, have a friend hold on to it for you until things settle down. If/when that happens, you can retrieve it and keep it hidden until you move out for college/uni or something. If someone is using religious references like, "it's of the devil," as a reason, you're already losing the fight. No offense, but the moment words like that start flying, all logic and reasoning has gone out the window.

Either, or you can fight for your right to own them. Though it being a parent, I can see her pulling a number of things on you to get her way... And there could be long term repercussions if you negotiate a deal. Unless what you have is pretty harmless and you can convince her otherwise. Though I can't really see anyone who states manga as "being of the devil" capable of seeing reason and understanding the actual contents of the manga. But this is years of social stigma on my end talking. ("Anime? You watch that cartoon porn...????")
I can assure you that I watch anime because I want to. And I watch so much because I'm interested in so many of them. I do want to catch up but more than anything I'm just enjoying this. Like I said before, I'll slow down soon but right now I'm having fun so I'll just keep going on like this until school starts again. And for the record, my mom will have problems no matter how much anime I watch or what kind of anime it is. For example, when I was a kid, she demonized pokemon... she still would too -3-

School? I almost wish anime was the reason I do poorly. Then I could just watch it less for a while. But no, It's mainly due to my lack of dedication to the subjects that don't interest me.

And yes Bardichie. My mom is very, very religious -__-

Most of them I've seen/read or following but there where some that caught my eye like Iris Zero, Kikou Shoujo wa Kizutsukanai. The one called Black God i've seen the Anime so i don't know where to start in the manga... kind of sucks that this happens most of the time manga turns into an anime and you don't read the manga.

Still debating on whether or not i'm going to read Koi Neko because the art is old and well... that bugs me. maybe i'll get over it but i'm not sure at them moment.
Black God has an anime? I didn't know that lol. Well normally I don't check if the manga counter part I read have an anime.

About Koi Neko you probably should read it when you are more bored since it can be kinda slow at times. Well it has it moments and sure is fun to read slice of life of cat girls
Finished S1 of Nanoha starting on Nanoha A's tomorrow. i hope it gets more to my likings.
Oh yeah forgot about this manga, Shingeki no Kyojin. You probably will love this Tiki and I recommend it to you others too. However it's dark, gritty and violent so if you can't handle that don't read it.
I read the synopsis and i think that the whole tragedy part might be a little to much but after that it might be better. So i'll just have to power through the beginning.
Okay, I am officially sick of Accel World and will most likely drop it. The writing is bad (cheesy as fuck, even by anime standards). Plot is boring. Chars are dull. Development isn't going anywhere. And the fact that I just quick-skim the last 2-3 eps and STILL get the essentials of the story means this is some weak crap. It's no wonder I don't really care for pure Shounen series in general. And this is a short example.

Here's hoping SAO is better...Whenever they decide to get around to the main plot, anyway. SAO has pacing issues in the adaptation, it seems. SAO is a good example of how NOT to integrate side-stories into the main series. They are neat on their own if this were an episodic series. When thrown into tha series like this, it's REALLY screwy. From what I hear, the side-stories have little to no impact on the main story in the original LNs. Guess I'll have to wait to see how they handled the adaptation and what changes they made. I'll be mildly pissed if they front-loaded the series' filler for no good reason.

*sigh* Sunrise for AW and A-1 for SAO... <_<
My opinion on this season's anime

Also, does anyone know any good places that show the artist's development sheets for anime/manga characters? They can be about the clothing, or the tech, or whatever, and would be a lot of help for what I'm trying to do ATM.
Well... I'm havin fun back here in '07 ^_^' I'm marathoning Baccano! right now. It's... just great. It feels like I'm watching one really epic movie. The only thing I'm upset about is that I haven't seen Firo Prochainezo for a few eps...

Oh wait, he just showed up again =3
They just want to do Sword Art Online more chronologically instead of how the LN's do it which is more near the end of SAO with some chapters that talk about the beginning. I mean Episode 1 is 2 chapters and a Side Story. Episode 2 is a Gaiden side story (doesn't seem to be in any of the novels). Episode 3 and 4 are Side Stories. The next episode will be a Side Story but it might be expanded into two episodes, but if your right about the pacing issues maybe only one episode, but I don't know how much more there is to that side story.

Chronologically there should be one more Side Story after this next one which tells how he gets another sword, but there is another Gaiden side story which is 3 months after that one so they might put them all in one episode, or not put in the Gaiden thing at all. After that it's the real story of SAO with one more Side Story inbetween which gets a little .hack-ish (IE we do see an A.I.).

As far as I know when the real story starts after all these Side Stories, we'll see Asuna almost all the time. By the way, we've already met most of the "weak" characters. I mention this because Asuna is far from weak, and more like the 2nd strongest in the game next to Kirito, espescially when she's 2nd in command of the strongest guild in SAO when we get into the real story. To compare, by the time SAO (the game) ends or when the real story starts (we'll have to find out or I bother to start reading the translated novel chapters), Kirito is lvl 96, Asuna lvl 92, Klein lvl 88, and Silica who we just saw is lvl 62. I don't know the max level but it feels like it's Ragnarok Online style with 99 levels or something, could be more.

Anyway, Jinrui is confusing me for the sole reason of continuity. It is either going backwards from end to beginning, doing what feels like the end and then the beginning, or being all Haruhi S1 and bounching all over. I say this because in episode 5 we see that Director again with the white top hat in episode 2, but it seems that it was their first time meeting each other as opposed to episode 2. There has not been an incident where her hair that is apparently alive at the end of episode 2 been of any use. Since episode 3 they've been talking about this Human Monument project which was mentinoed in episode 2 where our MC cut her hair after something happened to said project. It gets confusing because episode 3 and 4 are either set before episode 5 (and 6) or after episode 1 and 2, where the latter is probably not true. I'm finding the show interesting but I'll be damned if these episode pairs are going in a straight line with each other.
It seems as though i just read a very large spoiler about SAO... I mean i did read the manga so that it not that big of a spoiler but there are some stuff you said that's only in the light novel as of right now.
Unfortunately LN > Manga, especially if the manga is going to take forever in getting anywhere near the LN, just like Accel World. Plus you come into this thread expecting spoilers so I do hope you are not complaining about me spoiling a few slightly trivial things. I dunno if it's in the manga yet but there are a few major things out about certain characters.
Still they are not huge but relatively small spoilers that doesn't have a big impac on the story. Beside you can some spoilers without using the spoiler tag but in all it depends what kind of spoilers we are talking about.
You do kinda need to know which version is the true original and which are the adaptations. In SAO's case, LN > Manga > Anime, in that order.

Honestly, I think they should've just done SAO in FMP! or Ai Yori Aoshi style: Main Story in the first season (25-26 eps) with an S2 doing the side-stories. It worked for 2 big series (FMP! being an LN first and AYA being only a manga first.)

I understand wanting to do something with some consistency (in this case, chronology), but sometimes that just doesn't work. SAO's pacing and organization, IMHO, doesn't work too well. After the first ep, all these side-story adaptations feel really disconnected. (In reality they are, seeing as they take weeks and months apart with no direct in-series connections.) Maybe I've just gotten used to side-/extra stories being post-season additions, like K-On!, or entire seasons on their own (see FMP!: Fumoffu? or Ai Yori Aoshi ~Enishi~)

Still, other series has done achronological order and have done well enough, though the structure of the shows help in those cases. (Haruhi TV order and Hidamari Sketch anime. HS's manga is chronological, funny enough...) I honestly think I would've preferred a more focused S1 for SAO and then the Gaiden eps as OAVs or an S2. The only reason right now for me keeping up with SAO is because it seems to have more promise compared to AW and Kirito/Kazuto (<<< need to alias their bloody names at some point on the site) comes off as a MUCH better protaganist than Haru (AW).

Though after the last couple eps of AW, I hope the screen-/scriptwriters at A-1 will take more time for the main story dialogue of SAO. AW's dialogue in general sounds like cheese pulls from any other shounen series. (Also, the plot-device ass-pulling continues unabated *sigh*)
