What non-anime things, do you think, would be good as anime, or remade in anime style?

These days all i ever watch is anime, i'll need some time for this one.

Dawn of the Dead technically has an anime, it's called Highschool of the Dead since it's suppose to be from that same series.

Star Trek or Doctor Who would be interesting as full on anime.

Where did you hear that?

The title logically tells you that while it isn't part of the "of the Dead" series, they clearly made it with the intent of being like those movies in their own setting (Japan). If we're talking about the re-make movies with the running zombies then that is different. I'm just saying that you put two and two together.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the writer and artist for HoTD specifically mentioned a couple of specific western zombie films as inspiration for HoTD. I think I may have read it in one of their mini-interviews in the actual manga.

I would say any movie that has over-the-top special effects would be perfect for anime.

Sucker Punch would be a good example. Unless that was an anime turned into a live action...

You know how they have those cute moe anthropomorphic mascots for sites like Wikipedia? I'm interested in someone making a moe mascot of Stephen Colbert of the Colbert Report. (Yes I'm a fan since regular news is boring)

Having a hard time imagining a Colbert-tan however.

I would convert a few videogames that had a memorable story. Stuff like Xenogears or Valkyrie Profile.

Reminds me of how several of the Tales game got their own anime adaptations, which was a good thing because I didn't have time to play through Tales of the Abyss, so I saw the anime instead xP

That reminds me, i've been dying for a BlazBlue anime adaption. At the moment that is what i want to be made into an anime the most. Well... that or Yotsuba&! :3

Oh that's right. Blaz Blue is already very much designed as an anime around fighting, it would be a very smooth transition.

I remember that Guilty Gear X had an anime-trailer at one point, which seemed so much like the trailer for a movie. If only Blaz Blue would get something like that at least ;_;

Oh yeah, the intro to Continuum Shift. I suppose that counts... though I really liked more the mood for the Guilty Gear X trailer. But then again, it's not that bad (thought the art quality is ... not as good as the GGX one).

I want an anime not a trailer! Let's just move on to something else, okay?

I want an anime of some of my favorite books :D

Which ones? HMM.... let's see, which one would make for a good conversion... oh, the Anita Blake books did get some "Marvel style" comics done out of them, so that's something. I could probably enjoy a well done anime for the Kushiel trilogy, but... that would probably end up being more of a hentai o.@
