You have a MAID? Wow. My condolences though. I've lost several pets in my time. I get so sad thinking about two of my dogs passing, since they're very old. It's sad when they get old.

Umbrella does the trick for me, not for the dog. She doesn't mind though.
I could care less about what my brother does, I'm not his mother so I don't really want to chase him around. But yes, sometimes that will do.
My gf is spending her last 2 weeks in the Netherlands right now. She's moving to China soon. So I won't be seeing her for a loong time. Sadly, killed me a bit inside, but I don't want to burden anybody else with my sadness.
Awww. I like the fact that cats are calm, and just end up sleeping next to you on your other pillow. Wish I could do that with my dog, but she'll probably wake me up every 5 minutes or so. :c

I remember once reading on the reason why pets are such a good influence on children. They teach them how to take care of other living beings, and is a way to get them to come to terms with the inevitability of death, since the lifespan of a pet is much shorter than those of humans.
Once you learn to accept the inevitable, you can concentrate on enjoying things while they last. Or so goes the saying.
And please, excuse my lack of tact, the only time I experienced death in my life my reaction was "oh crap, that means now we have to stop playing videogames?" I have yet to lose a loved one, obviously (¬¬), though I have friends who have lost very dear pets, so I have second-hand experience of how difficult it is to deal with such losses.
PS: There's something to be said about having twelve maids at the service of the family, but I think I'll leave that topic to the anime-savvy people in here.

Anyways, I was sorting through my school-notes and toys today.
Quite a few nostalgic moments...
I still remember the days when LEGO was fun, not franchise based rubbish...
Also, it was sad to look at those notes, remember how I took them down in class, like just over a hundred other students too, and think about how I might never see any of those students ever again.
I hope that I made a lasting impression in their hearts, because I will surely remember my classmates for a loooooooong time...

My day sucked. I don't think I'm going to summer school but I still have to re-take my exams in August. My mom's on my case about studying to pass and it's already driving me crazy! She's working all weekend so I can at least have a little more fun before my vacation is taken away from me. If worse comes to worse let me just say that I'm really gonna miss you guys T.T

It's not that easy. I have serious issues when it comes to focus. If the topic or activity interests me then there won't be a problem but if it's something like algebra *shudders* there's very little hope. Even though I know it's important I still can't concentrate for the sheer amount of boredom. I guess I'll have to figure out how to deal with that soon but for now I've had enough, g'night kona.

If only there was some way of getting us motivated to fulfill our responsibilities! Though, usually good teachers teach in a way that is engaging and can get their students interested. But I don't think it'll work for everybody all the time. Meh.
Anyway, the day is so hot over here today O.O; and it's going to rain, TOO! So, it's going to be a hella humid and hot day... which makes for a sweaty day. Not the best fun in the world, I believe :B
If only the temperature could stay at a mild 19 degrees, that'd be so nice.

My day has been pretty awesome or my night I should say spending time with my friends playing video games, had the best meatloaf ever, Just having a great time. I don't get out of the house much anymore so this is really nice.

UGGGGGHHHHHH!!! My day sucked! I spent half of it at some tutor and the other half on the train. It was incredibly boring and irritating. All I want now is to be left alone but of course that's not going to happen. *sigh*... Now I need to catch up on the posts.

It's getting really humid around here...
I hate living on an island.
The wind makes you feel much colder than it really is in winter, also, when it's hot, the moisture prevents your sweat from evaporating, which makes it seem even hotter, and also, more difficult to breathe. The air seems sticky, heavy somehow, like you force it into your lungs in big chunks.
Plus, the unevaporated sweat causes a burning sensation on my skin, and everybody has to take a bath every day. What a waste of water...
Otherwise, everything is going exceptionally fine. My mum and my sister will go back home on holidays, and they luckily spared me the ordeal. Hopefully, I'll get unlimited anime-watching-time, and that's all that counts.

Would it really be a waste of water if needed? I knew a brazilian friend who took showers three times a day. In some of the hotter countries, you just can't get through the day with a single shower because it's so hot (i.e.: they sweat so much :/).
I am not sure that taking a shower in order to feel clean can really be considered a waste of water... should we go around feeling filthy just to economize on it? :P By the way, the frequency of baths taken is directly related to the weather. In cold climates people shower less often than in hot ones. So I think it works as it should.
I had a good day so far, though there's plenty I must finish soon. I am going out on a trip until Friday, so I better leave everything done today @_@'

Disregarding the obvious fact that our consumer society is exceptionally greedy, I would dare say that most of what we do is actually being done for comfort rather than practicality. I manage just fine with far less without people noticing or my health going back. Actually that applies for my life in general rather than just showers!SK7000 said:

I can understand that people do so and I don't blame them for it. I do judge people keeping water running for no reason. That's just instant annoyed mode for me. Water is too precious for that.
