Technically they're all different in some way. The widescreens differ enough from the fullscreens to warrant uploading one of each at least. Between the same types, there aren't many differences. Technically there is enough differences in the elements to let them stay. We do allow game_cgs to stay and they abuse the same basic principle.
If you want to be absolutely sure, assuming you have a decent image editor that lets you do a differencing overlay/blend (like Adobe Photoshop), just throw then into the editor and scale the images to match one another. Turn on the difference blending mode for one of the layers. Areas that are exact will turn pure or near-pure black (RGB 0,0,0). Diffences between two images will look like a negative image. I use this method to compare images that are near-identical.
If I get the patience and energy to do so later, perhaps I'll do this for you. Otherwise, you can try it yourself, maybe. Beyond that, the largest widescreen (16:10 or 16:9) and largest fullscreen (4:3) would be quite safe to upload.

11 months agoDifferent resolutions on the original website - should I uploade them all?
The problem is - I uploaded the highest resolution of the wallpapers from the original website, which is 1920x1200 (or actually 1980x1200), but there's also 1920x1080 (incorrectly cropped to 1980x1080), 1600x1200, 1280x1024 and 1024x768 versions on the site. I saw one of the 1980x1080 is uploaded already, so I marked it as child post for now on, but I wonder:
should I upload all the different resolution versions from the official site or only the highest one?
FAQ only says vaguely:
"Crops
Case-by-case. It usually accepted if the original source image was a scan and it was edited to standard wallpaper dimensions. Beyond that, it's depends on how the crop was executed and what was cropped."
and
"Downscales
Also generally frown upon (though less so that upscales). Unless they contain differing content in some fashion or somehow actually look technically superior, they are considered duplicates and deleted for that reason."
The images in question are this:
