Would it be...
Would it be weird crying b/c a anime made you so? B/c the end of Angel Beats did.
i teared up for a manga, tho not the end.
No, it;s not weird. It just means the writer and the production crew did a good job.
Clannad [After Story] made me weep like child, both in tragedy and in happiness.
And I haven't cryed like that in years.
Clannad After Story made me shed some tears, but not cry. No, it's not the same thing. When you cry you release those annoying noises. Sheding tears is just staying still while the tears flow out.

Angel Beats was kind of the same... but whatever .... the special is coming out soon.
Not weird at all. Several anime made me cry because there were sad moments. Though that always depends on how good the scenes were made. I watched some scenes that are technically sader than others, but they were like "k, my whole family died. Soooo sad". You don't really feel with the character in such situations.
However, if it's well done, your emotions will break out. Last time I had that was in Code Geass R2 ep21 (the only sad moment that made me feel with Lulu) :)
I know there were other anime that really touched me, but I don't really remember.
Kanon made me Shed tears, Clannad/afterstory got close to the same.
Air also made me drop a tear or 2.
Does anybody see what they have in common!?
AIR and CLANNAD got me close. Kanon not quite as such (but it is the earliest of Key's works).

I've learned how to keep my emotions in check (for the most part) so I haven't actually cried in a long time. I can feel the sentiments from what I watch; might tear up a little now and then though.

Key
Incidently they also did Angel Beats too.

And Little Busters I'm sure is on its way.
Angel Beats was, meeeh, at least I expected more from Key.

I am hoping Key will, indeed start with Little Busters..
I'm hoping for a Tomoyo After anime adaptation...

Anyway, AB! was Key's (well, more like Maeda Jun's) first direct Anime production. And the production itself wasn'ty handled by the studio that usually handles adaptation from Key titles (that would be KyoAni.)

Also keep in mind that many of Key's titles could fill a 20-something ep series or longer (KANON '06, CLANNAD). Only the original KANON (by Toei) and AIR were single-quarter length seasons. And those were the earliest works.

Key didn't do too bad for a major media transition in creation with AB! Yes, it probably coulda been handle a bit better...But we can only imagine what it coulda been like if KyoAni had handled it.

Okay sorry for necroing this thread, but I was in the exact same position as Vedaulios. Seriously, this anime is beast. Don't see why everyone was bagging it out on the AnimeSuki forums. Sure it didn't have many episodes, and had a few loose ends, it was still pretty awesome. TBH, 'twas the only anime that had me laughing out loud and crying like a baby all in one series.
