Well there's that one summer program. And then there's that other one...
You know, I want to spend my summer on a mountain. Though I wouldn't mind spending it doing stuff around renowned research centers.

To be honest, I didn't even think about what to do this summer. I only planned to work, so here I am trying to make something up >_<
A sunny place with beach and all that would be nice. For example the south of Spain or France. A few weeks to Okinawa would be nice as well, but I have far from enough money for that.
On a side note, nice topic Alaron ^_^

I'd like to go to the beach for a week or two. That'd be nice.
As some one raised in Florida, summer time means beach time. So really I'd love to go to any beach for Florida to the South Pacific with friends. Even some of the beaches in Europe or Japan sound nice too. Go swimming, sigh seeing, diving, having a BBQ in the evening. It would be awesome to lay on the beach at night and star gaze too.
Plus people running around in skimpy bathing suits don't hurt either. :P

My plans for summer? Hmm... The thing is I'll probaby stay inside the house most of the time. Why? Well cuz gaming and studying for my retake exams. I'll also go part-part time so I'll have some cash on me since I'm starting to run low on it.
I would however love to just take the car and go for a road trip with my friends or have enough money to travel to some other country. I guess Japan would be a nice pick and see how it is there.

Yalta! Good beaches, good restaurants, good local wines, lots of interesting local history and side trip opportunities......and affordable :)Wiresetc said:

It has been 15-20 years since I last thought about it..... I normally just tag along with friends or family. Any tourist/vacation area I haven't been to before would probably be fine.
I'd like to see some coral reefs, so maybe australia
Well, all I want is to return to my hometown cause I study far away from it, but at the same time I don't want to cause the girl I like lives near the university, so my ideal summer is uncertain.
This summer i'm going to Japan, China and Hong Kong for 5 weeks, I cant wait! I'll be going to Ikebukuro which is a is a commercial and entertainment district in Toshima, Tokyo! I'm meeting family in Hong Kong and we'll all go to Japan and China together :)
Don't know if I've posted enough, but I'm going to be going to Vermont this summer. Relaxing in a cabin on a lake in the middle of nowhere with no internet for a month. Fishing, hunting, fucking and relaxing. Ahh the good life.
I was hoping to travel and meet with people i know from the internet. Also, some teamates are talking about going a couple of days near the sea and asked me to join (im already close, it's just to be us alone an stuff). But first i need to take care of some exams so i have the option to go to university, cause im still not sure if i want to :P
I'll be filling in at our local gun club as a instructor and teaching a side class for tactical civilian response, and CQC for beginners. I also have to work, which involves flying around in newly repaired aircraft. I do plan to spend 3 days at Disneyland in California in July, which is just a 4 hour drive away. When we go to Disneyland, we spend most of our time sneaking behind the scenes and getting up to no good. Last October, we snuck into the Jungle boat ride and climbed up on the totem pole and Rino, and took pictures, and then snuck down to the underground maintenance facility and looked at the robots they were repairing for the rides. (Grew up down the street from DL and my grandfather was a engineer there, so I've been going forever. It got boring about 10 years ago, so we started to do things there that were more exciting than just standing in lines). Other than that, I'll be catching up on anime (just started Date a Live season 2 and a bunch of others). I'll also be raising two baby kittens we found living in one of our broken jets a week ago.
I would like to go to some place it is summer because it is far to cold where I live. Maybe do a bit of traveling before being forced into the work force after university.

almost 9 years ago[GIVEAWAY] J-list Japanese Snack Box monthly giveaway! (June)
The first month (April) was random draw. The second month (May) was random draw again BUT we had a quota for participants to fill by the end of the month (or to be precise two days before the month ends). These quotas were discussed in this thread. The quotas this month will be ever so slightly lower. Again, trying to figure out the best way to do these!
You need to fill ONE of these quotas to be eligible to win:
In order to show your interest in the giveaway tell us where you'd love to be spending your summer! This is done simply for users to display their interest in the giveaway.
The night of May 29th we'll pick a random participant out of everyone. It will then be checked if he fills any of the quotas and if so he will be required to provide the information below. If not another participant will be drawn. DO NOTE - you do not need to send information if you're not the winner.
If you win and are filling one of the quotas you have the next two days (48 hours) to provide this information so that I can relay it to J-list on the 1st June:
Keep in mind that delivery times might vary depending on amount of orders that J-list has to process at the time.
Winners will be unable to win again for 12 months. Our two winners up to this point are Flandre93 and Artwork.
EVERYONE IS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER! There are no age restrictions and all staff can participate in the giveaway as well!
Please send any questions or inquiries directly to me here or on [email protected]. (Please use Dmail instead of replying to this topic with questions. Any non-entries or repeated entries will be cleared in order to keep everything tidy).
All of the ideas in the discussion topic (found here) are being taken into account. If you have further comments or ideas you can send them directly to me or keep posting in that topic. It will remain open for the time being.
We are continuing to experiment with the best way to give out these boxes. None of this is a finite version of the giveaway and we might do something different each month. I will try and stay true to the "Random Draw" principle but we might try some fun stuff like Art Contests and the like. Again, if you have any ideas let us know here!
