Well, technically you're supposed to, but alot of places don't follow that law. Except, I'm 18 and my ID was asked for when buying Diablo II at Wal-mart, a game that nowadays would probably be rated T instead of M, but at Pamida I bought Shadow of Rome, rated M and for good reasons too, when I was 14 and they never asked for an ID, even though I look young. REALLY young. At that time I was 4' 9".

However, when it comes to gaming, if a parent raise they kid right, then a mere games shouldn't change the way they think, like me since I have play'n GTA since 3 came out.
agree, i have played gta since i'm 10, and now i'm not a psico ...

Okay we do need ratings on stuff, it helps to know what we are getting when we buy the item. The ratings on games are not dume. It's the people that put/make up the ratings that are dume.

I'ed say so, would you not?

Ho man don't get me started on IDing someone. It happens to me all the time. just because I have long hair. Whan I didn't have long hair it never happen to me and if you care, my hair is right now 3 feet long. :)
I know we need ratings, however we need people from our generation rating them, not the old fart that do.

I used to have hair up to 2 feet long, but they slowly became pain in the ass to keep in order so now I keep them at several cm.

Or at least people who know their stuff, just somehow held responsible for their decisions.

I know this is off topic, but where do I go to set an avatar? What link do I use? And does it have to be a pic of a chick or can I use a dumb-apple?

1. Go to any pic on this site
2. Click "Set avatar"
3. ??????
4. Profit!
could I then add a picture with no tags and request that it doesn't get flagged for deletion that way I can have my pic be whatever I want it to? I highly doubt I can find a massive dumbapple.

No, you can get a avatar from this site like the rest of us.
Doesn't matter anyways, I found one that I like. Vincent is F---ing badass.

[-Topic-] How do you feel about 3D Graphics in 2D Anime?

It's nothing much for me. But it looks really out of place though... Kind of like a real movie/show where suddenly an animated character pops in isn't it... ^_^
Some anime I prefer 2D, and some others ones 3D is better. It really depends on the anime; art, plot and how the characters look.
Ya but what about, at the same time? It's like Fate Stay/Night
whan you see that 3D-dragon and that 2D-anime character, what ever his name was, it looks out of place. o_O

If it's done with some taste and fits in style then I might like it. Like Tachikomas and some other stuff in GiTS. Sadly usually 3D looks completely out of place or even plain disturbing.
If it comes to full 3D "anime" like appleseed - it's not the same thing, but nonetheless can be enjoyable.

Thats I'll agree which on some. There are some others ones where they mix 3d with 2d and it looks good. So like I said it depends on the anime; art, plot and how the characters look.

i don't care too much, if the result is a show for my eyes
When the 3D graphics are used in background and scenery it can acctually add alot to the dramatic effect, but in other cases, it can be more harmful than helpful.
It's cool that this topic is so popular =D Glad everyone's so friendly on this site.

Besides the typo/spelling freaks - chill and be happy that you can spell, eh? No point putting more effort into making others spell properly, it's their choice.

Who here would go into an artistic career? Or has drawings/doodles of their own?

Personally, I hate 3D art in 2D shows... it's annoying. Samurai 7 is probably the only anime I can accept - 'cause the storyline is just so damn awesome.
You know, doesn't Initial D use a 2D 3D mix?

Ummm... does poetry count? I can't draw, but I enjoy writing, which technically is a form of art.

no, for fanboys i mean "consoles fanboys", they are one step less then idiots...

ps. trekkie???
Ah... okay, I gotcha. Oh, and "trekkie" is a derogative term for "those who obsess over and waste thier lives on Star Trek." Or, more simply put, Star Trek fans. Now fanboys is more commonly used for StarWars fans, like myself.

Could somebody enlighten me on what a consoles fanboy is? I'm confused. I get the strange feeling that I probably am one, though I just don't know it yet.

If you seriously think that pc is useless when it comes to games, then you are beyond any help. ^^
