Ya i would too. The Irish in me makes most cursing seem like regular talking but only in my little group. You don't say that kind of stuff around old people. Thought i would tie in a little skit from a comedian, Nick Swardson. If you want to go straight to the cursing around old people then go to 3:00.

i sure am proud of myself for sending you all off on this cursing tangent. i think it's funny when elderly people get mad and curse.

too bad people don't use OLD cuss words anymore. i once did an assignment in school where we worked with Shakespearean insults and curse words. good times...

Southern curses are also amusing. My favorite is, "Get your head up outta your ass."

lots of people say "get your head outta your ass" i think. i am southern. more eastward than southward though. we do have colorful words like "ya'll" and words ending in "-ing" usually end in "-in' ".

yeah... i can clarify...
story that is totally associated with this wordback in the days of school, when the whole county got proper flooded... school wouldn't let me go home early since all of the town was getting near to flooding. so, all my friends snuck out of school, and me being the sissy i was, i chose not to, since i got into trouble too often. even if it was an emergency... ¬__¬ anyway, i sent an email to my best friend 30 minutes or more after she left, saying that the teacher was a complete and utter (insert c* word here). and being the school, they monitored EVERYTHING students did, and you can guess what happened after that. i was in after school detention for like a week, or i got suspended... so... young 'uns never say that word in school, or, at that matter, any swear words! but yeah, my science teacher heard about it and told me that was a FOUL word... i never say it now though ¬__¬

i hate that word. i read something in a book once that said "...a woman is nothing but a life-support system for a cunt." i was very offended by that. the whole book was kinda...terrible though (in the creative, emotional way).

I think the most creative insult I ever called some one was "a puss filled rectal wart".

There is an intelligence level associated with insults. Insult someone of high intelligence with a low-brow insult and they might just look at you funny. Probably less common now with the internet.

Insult a low intelligence person with an intelligent insult (one that requires technical knowledge, for example) and they MIGHT be able to detect the fact it's suppose to be an insult, but it might just fly over their head.

Then you get inside insults (kinda like inside jokes) where only a subset of people will understand the full harshness of the insult.

This of course doesn't even take into account an individual's viewpoint of what they consider insulting or not. An insult to one person could very well be a full compliment to someone else. Classic example from the movie American Wedding (paraphrased, as I don't recall the exact dialogue):

• "Yeah? Well, you're a motherfucker!" >_<
• [moment of thought] "Why, yes... Yes, I am." ^_^

I find I'm the recipient of lots of intended insults that I can just say "Yes I am" to online. Mostly by people who are pissed off at me because I won't release my real identity. That's really been a good friend indicator to me. Real friends are still with me, and accept it. Murzac, BSLove, and most other konas too. But then there are people who really just want me to send them pictures of my tits. If someone calls me a bitch or a slut... well... Kisumi is indeed both a female canine and very promiscuous without much discrimination.

Luckily in reality I'm not insulted by... pretty much anyone. Unless "perv" is an insult, which I don't really count it as. The exception would be my usual coworker just lays it on with every euphemism for homosexual, pervert, strange person and... small person... one could think of. She either hates my guts, or she's the biggest tsundere I've ever seen. Funny thing is whenever she's asked why she hates me, her response is normally that I'm lesbian and too happy and cute. Someone has sand in her vagina. She's like a female mister Scrooge, all year around. "Bah humbug, that person's being happy!".

i think, so long as no one got drunk or showed up high, that it would be ok. some of the more timid users might be afraid to show up (like me). money would be an issue too, cuz you've got a couple different countries in the mix and there'd to be one meeting place. i used to wish i could start an anime/manga club or manga library.

that's strange. i was just on it yesterday, posting about how one of my teachers in high school asked me if i loved him once. it was awkward.
