All of the non-mod regulars from at least a year ago have become endangered in this thread. Too many pouchers looking for a new rug made of "veteran Konachaner" skin.

Also the plot of SAW VI was ridiculous
I think SAW is just a genius movie series...

Also, just 2 more days and I'll be leaving for 4 weeks to Turkey :D

Anyone going on holiday this season...?
Yes actually!

5 days to a sort of vacation house. Rented it with a group of 6 including myself. Its officially a watersport area but our initial idea was "just have fun away from home rest is a bonus". Sitting at a lake all day drinking during daytime swimming in the blink of an eye. Sounds pretty great to me and fortunatly we found it as cheap as possible so even I can afford it xD

Rest of the summer vacation is just plain old studying but at least in the way I like with the topics I like.

Maybe some day I'll be able to afford a trip somewhere bigger (which basically means Japan or nothing) but to be honest this one seems just to my liking ^_^
My holiday season is the time when I can do work in peace without being disturbed by students :B

However, I must admit I sort of miss the abundance of ladies at the cafeteria during lunch breaks.

I'll be going for a one-week trip later in August, though. Where to? I don't remember any more... was it Croatia? Yes, I think that was it. So, anyway, this summer will just be like any other time of the year. I actually take my vacations at the end of the year, not during summer.
I'm not taking any trips at all. Not physical ones, anyway.

By the way Kona people, my birthday is in six days. Just sayin'.

Also the plot of SAW VI was ridiculousActually that is a damn good reason, because its not a few people but a lot of people. Health insurance is there to cover your medical bills when you are sick, denying that coverage because the recipient is sick is a catch 22(a very nasty one infact). Also not treating a simple disease in its early stages can lead to much more serious complications later on. Yes the bastard that does that to earn money deserves to die, IRL too not just in a movie...

Its the equivalent crime with Armed Robbery, and should be treated the same.
Heyyyy Kona! Happy birthday America!

Why are we talking about medical things? How boring and morbid.

This place is stagnating again *buubuu*.
Because someone wanted to mention a movie that happened years ago and didn't want to keep to him or herself about it, so we had someone give a IRL to movie connection about the plot of a series that got boring after a few movies and really the best parts were the traps.
I always thought SAW was pretty stupid. But I guess some people like watching other people get hurt.
So, does anyone go to any episodic review blog sites? I never go to one because I do not see the point in them when you'll be watching the episode of an anime yourself. Plus I find it a whole lot better to discuss it on a forum than to read some lengthy article then discuss that in a comment box every single episode.

I think the closest I'd get is someone breaking down the episode or the show as it progressed to understand it better, like terminology and such (like you can get at a wiki or wikia page, or something), or if it's doing a comparison of between the original work and the anime, which I've done for one show cause it annoyed me that much. I know one of the reasons is to see another persons opinion of it but I don't care much for that when it's pretty much a review. If someone hates something and I like it, I will not speak of it to that person again and enjoy it myself.
Best haircut I've ever had

Edit: I know I typed it in right, so what happened?

MOD SA): Link fixed.
You missed a letter in the URL syntax for Youtube videos. It's "WATCH?V=". You were missing the "v". It pays to copy/paste links instead of typing them out ^_~

I can't get myself to readily do that because every single one I've seen so far are the time that try to sensationalize everything they say with cynicism and sarcasm instead of giving straight, fairly objective viewpoint. I get these fuckers are trying to gets hits by trying to be unique like everyone else, but it gets irritating once you've seen the 5 review done the same way. That and ENG speaking reviewers suck anyway.

Most of the ones I've seen doing this type of review are either fanboys, haters, or not really anime fans to begin with. Anime reviews are some of the most subjective I've ever seen/read compared to other media (like games). I can't stand these people doing whole series reviews, much less episodic ones. I can't even do that myself. (Which is part of the reason why you usually don't seem me much in anime thread mid-season. Unless big shit happens in something I'm watching.)

So yeah, no. I'd rather read a synopsis of a series instead of a review, then decide if I want to watch it later on my own to judge. Anime reviewers are some of the most biased people in the fandom. Especially at the amateur level. "Professional" reviewers are iffy depending on whether they're blog-type reviewer or article-type. I find most people hired to do blog-type post suck in general (and I don't mean just with anime reviews. Some tech sites I go to publish blog-type posts; those generally suck compared to the REAL writers of the sites.)

Thank you Stahn! But copy and paste? I never even learned how to do that ^_^' but I'm sure I'll find the option here somewhere...
In Windows, the default commands are CTRL+C (COPY), then CTRL+V (PASTE). There's also the right-click menu ^_~

If you're on Mac, you're on your own ^_^; (If you're a Mac user, I can see why you never learned: "It just works"... <_<)

As for Linux, well... If you're a Linux user and didn't know those commands, you need to be shot and thrown into a computer use crash course while losing all right to even calling yourself anywhere near a "PC user". Any REAL Linux user would know how to do any command 3 different ways, minimum (Keyboard short-cut, UI menus, and command line). ^_~

That's a little harsh >_>

If you're going to start about "real" linux users like that prepare for a volley of nerd hipster jokes like you've never seen before ^_^
I'm willing to expand my horizons for the sake of the geekdom! I'd be a poor sport if I couldn't take what I dish out, after all. As long as it's all in fun, I wouldn't mind.
Remind me to never invite you over for poker :P
I know very little about technology. I'm awful with it. I have a hard time using cell phones too. Really. I don't know how to play poker either.

I think blogs are...silly. But I guess they have a place. I don't read any. I only read these forums, as far as stuff other people have posted goes.

2 DAYS LATER: Helloooo..elloo...ello....ello *echoes hollowly through the forum*
Good news! I'm still a kick ass pokemon trainer!
Posting seems to have slowed down on this forum, are you physic emmy?

Sometimes entire days go by with only a couple posts in the forums. I don't get why it happens but when it does I feel so very lonely T.T

P.S. Emmy's not phychic, she just edited her post. What do you think the "Edit" option is for?
Honestly, these calm times are a blessing for some of us mods. Less stuff for me to look over during my rounds on the site. On the other hand, it also usually means I need to correct more stuff in other areas. Tagging idiocy seems to be on the rise. Users correct themselves now and then, but that's actually the exception and not the norm. And people STILL can't read the basic guidelines staring them in the face on the Upload page... >_<

I've been on a tag correction spree for the past couple of week. Been fixing some o fthe older tagging issues as well. Not very often used tags (most of the are from series that are long past having active uploading), but meh.

I also seem to be deleting more comments that before, it feels like...
I don't like it when people ask questions about pictures that could've been answered by reading the tags. So dumb.
It's sometimes legitimate. I have to doublecheck the timestamps of both the tag edit (post history) and the comment before I can take action in those cases. I would like it if people editing the tags to answer the questions would say so so I don't have to do that check for the legit times that happens.
That is true too Stahn. It's hard to tell when a comment was made when you're not a mod.
No it isn't. Just hover over the timestamp under the username for a comment. It'll give you the exact timestamp. Anyone can do that.

NOTE: This doesn't work in the forums. The forum doesn't really need it though.
Happy birthday, emmy :)
Oh wow. Thanks you guys. Didn't know if anyone would read/remember that. So thanks a lot.

I'm having a shitty day though. My back hurts like hell. Real hell. I'm not even celebrating. Nothing special going on. Kinda depressing. It doesn't feel like my birthday.

P.S. I liked the video too, ecchi. Thank you.
I don't really celebrate my birthdays either. Also, why does your back hurt so bad? Are your boobs too large? I hear that's one of the most common reasons for back problems among girls.
Allow me to give you a nice message, as a birthday present.
I've been told my messages are pretty good and comforting.
Your back was it?

LOL ANPAN!
