This thread is a bit more free-flowing. If you just make sure it's not too old of a topic amd perhaps quote the particular post you're kinda responding to (as a kind reminder), it's fine. I'd say anything within a week or 1-2 pages old (whichever is shorter) is a reasonable upper limit. (FYI, each page is 30 posts.)
HOLY CRAP, YOU GUYS! I'M (PROBABLY) GOING TO THE BEEEEAAACH!
I'm soooooo excited! I'm already planning stuff, even though it'll be weeks yet. Hopefully the trip won't fall through. But it's gonna be so great if we do go. Pools, ocean front room, jacuzzi, shopping, aquarium, etc. Too bad I can't have a fancy drink at the Tiki Bar on the pier -_-

Well good for you emmy! As for me I can't say I like the beach all that much. It's mainly because of the heat. Also the few beaches we've been to were filthy. Maybe when I learn how to swim and find a nice clean beach I'll be able to enjoy myself but for now I'll stick to pools ^_^
P.S. Please be careful at the beach emmy-chan and whatever you do, do not. Feed. The seagulls... they just keep coming...

Aw, this beach is very, very clean and there are very few gulls. As for the heat, we'll be going at the beginning of September, so it should be a little cooler.
I don't actually get IN the ocean. Noooo thanks. Just standing on the shore where the waves break makes me a little...dizzy. It feels like the ocean is pulling you in. I can't remember EVER entering the ocean. I have a fear of it. I'm pretty sure it was because, when I was quite little, my mom accidentally dropped me into the water.

You have a fear of just about everything, don't you?
An old friend once said that to me. She called me a pussy. Made me mad.
I'm not afraid of everything. I am just cautious and slightly irrational. I mean, I can't swim very well. The water makes you very salty too. Death is everywhere my friends. You gotta be careful. Some things make me more nervous than scared. Like elevators or heights.

I can't swim so I don't like going into the water at a certain point.
Some people have fear of sharks in swimming pools. In comparison, being afraid of the ocean is a reasonable fear. As for myself, I hate swimming. I can swim, barely, but I don't like the feeling of having nothing under me, probably from when I almost drowned as a kid. There are worse things that you could be afraid of. Like aliens. Or anteaters.
People fear what they don't understand. When I was a small kid (dunno around 7?), I used to live in a haunted house. Lots of unexplainable phenomenon happened there. DO NOT READ BEFORE GOING TO SLEEP!!
It's kinda curious how "science" discards all these paranormal things, despite the amount of anecdotal experience. Is as if they think you were just crazy and imagining things up. Not saying you are, Dust.
Fortunately, I haven't really dealt with anything like that, or at least, nothing that stood out enough to make me remember about it.
I read some months ago that a good way to "purify" an enchanted place is to fill it up with positive, loving energy. And what they meant with that was sex. Yup, loving sex from a couple is supposed to be able to dispel such "evil" energies!
Now, I can't say I ever read of anybody trying it out, but it's the sort of advice that just sticks to your mind and makes you wonder. Forever after.

I can see the "exorcist" in front of the worried couple already: "We think this house is haunted! [Insert long list of supposedly paranormal things]" Exorcist: "Well the solution is simple: You need to get it on like rabbits!" Couple: *drops jaws to the ground*
But to be fair, there are few problems that cannot be resolved through a copious amount of intercourse. More sex is (pretty much) always a valid strategy.Anpan said:

So all that stuff about ghosts being on earth to seek vengeance and resolve unfinished business is wrong. Turns out they're just a bunch of perverted voyeurs.
Edit: I don't know why I bother with the forums. I hate and am embarrassed by everything I write. The only thing keeping me from deleting this post is that everyone who's going to see it has probably already seen it. *Goes into lurker mode*

Yeah, I can only get in a depth of water in which my feet touch some kind of ground. There can't be a bunch of waves either.
Ghosts, huh? I've always wondered when that'd be brought up. I totally believe in haunted places. But that's ironic since I don't believe people have souls. So...I believe in spirits...but not that humans have souls. It's oxymoronical.
Oh, but my parents have seen ghosts. Down in our house (we kinda have two homes). I think the house is haunted.

Well, that's not too oxymoronical.. if you consider you know people who have experienced "ghosts", but none that has experienced "souls." Maybe you (Emmy) haven't just found any evidence connecting both.
From the stuff I read around, Cade, ghosts are just residual energies left on earth. The whole "resolving unfinished business" could be summed up as "concentrated emotions left behind." By countering them with positive energies, you can dispel them out. Ghosts are not really sentient neither, they are more like a snapshot of a consciousness at the moment they were created. Thus, a ghost might seem sentient, but it actually has no way of acquiring new knowledge or doing anything different from what it was always doing at creation time.
Cade, I don't see why you have to be so uncertain of yourself, by the way. Being wrong is but being human. If erring bothers you, then read back and reflect on what causes you to err, so that you may avoid repeating the mistake. As Thomas Edison once said (I think it was him), "I haven't failed a hundred times to create a light bulb. I've just found a hundred ways which do not work."

Well I can tell you that sex is not going to help, atleast not that I have noticed.SK7000 said:

Though the ghosts I had where..mostly nice and gone now too, though then again..idk what happened in the 2 years that I wasn't in my current house but yeah they are gone now, Lol.
I can't help but say it's a shame if you're afraid of the ocean/swimming.
Just like riding a bike, swimming is pretty much taught to you at your birth here. And I think 'Baby' swimming is pretty normal in most countries.
I just love swimming. From diving to collect shells, to swimming long distances. It feels good, and in summer even better. There's no better way to cool down so easily.
I also enjoy looking for fish and stuff. 3 years back, in a lake in Italy I came across this water snake. Seeing it swim through the water was such a blast, it looks so stupid, yet effective. On my trip last year I went diving in the Philippines, I haven't seen something that beautiful ever before. The colours a coral reef can have is beautiful, and the strange fish that can be food are even more beautiful.
Though I can understand being afraid of it, I mean, I wouldn't like the thought of a big wave crushing me, or 'suddenly' being pulled under. Though, like most things, it comes with some sort of danger.
Sea urchins, dangerous fish, sharp coral and jelly fish just to name a few. Diving is almost impossible without getting stung atleast once. 'Tiny' jelly fish hairs are everywhere around diving spots, and sometimes they still sting quite a bit.
But swimming is just lovely, and there's so much to be seen underwater. A new world, really. If you're afraid, I'd still suggest killing that fear, and getting some swimming lessons. But I'm in no state to judge ones fears.

Hmm...Yeah thats true Arty xD ah I want to go swimming now..
Lets go swimming Sarah!
Where you at! ;)
Where you at! ;)
Far far away from you! Probably D; ..but even so its too hot! I can barely move! .___________.
I love being IN the water. But I'm more into relaxing, wading, floating. I mean, ya'll are talking about it like I'd have a panic attack if I even got near the ocean. I could go out on a boat or something.
And I'm not AFRAID of swimming at all, I'm just not very good at it. ALSO, it's been years since I've been in water that actually was deep enough to swim in. We have a pool, but it's one of those little ones. It's 10x32.

A pool..sounds niceee lol
It gets the job done. But then, when it's super hot (like today), the water starts to feel like bath water. I guess all water gets warm during the summer.
Hmm...eventually all water does get warm yeah...though mostly the water here seems cold to me all year long xD
I prune up really quickly when I'm in the pool.
I had swimming lessons once. It was focused on helping kids that already knew how to swim a little, instead of teaching from the beginning(not that they tell you that when you start) and the teacher kept getting farther from me every time I swam out to him. So in summary, I wasn't taught how to swim, and I received trust issues instead, which I am still having to deal with today.
If you put a cold cup of water with ice outside here, the entire contents of the cup would freeze over, and that's just in the summer... Yay for uk weather!SarahNL said:

Thats the kind of water that I normally have, I want my old weather back! D:<kokiriloz said:

Lingerie is way too complex to actually draw properly... yes, it can be done, but you really have to have attention to detail. It's pretty much impossible if you are trying to animate it, of course. I imagine this is one area where reality will always render better than anime.
Still, I give anime props for dressing up people in completely cool fashion outfits that would never be fashionable (or practical) in our everyday lives. One of my favourite things about anime (and videogames in general) is cloth design...
By the way, is it ok to comment on a topic that was left behind a few days ago? Or was I supposed to stay with the times and share my broken bones with you guys?
