If your statement was true, you would've saved it as a PNG instead of recompressing it as a JPG and causing generational quality loss. At least you were smart enough to keep the quality setting high on the JPEG compression. I'll give you that.

stahn's saying that it would have been better to save the image as "[fileName].png" instead of "[fileName].jpg" due to the fact that each time you save a jpeg/jpg, you lose some quality due to it's compression algorithm. thus, jpeg artifacts. however, he was saying that even though you used a jpeg format, you atleast had enough sense to lower the amount of compression it does on the image.
