So re-watching a couple of eps of Carnival_Phantasm reminded me of Fate/Tiger Colosseum UPPER, which in turn reminded me of the (canonical) magical girl parody of Kohaku (Magical Amber). Not many Magical Amber images on Pixiv it seems. Came across this fetching image of Kohaku though. I'm a sucker for this type of art style (props to any artists that can actual do proper shading work!)

Same, this art style always has me staring for quite some time. The shading on the apron looks very realistic. It's been a while since I've seen Kohaku drawn with an original style, so it's a nice reminder of the good old times Shiki had in that crazy Tohno mansion... And then to top things off, Shingetsutan brought that insanity to a whole new level. Anyways, the hair, eyes, and shading are all really well done. And if it makes you feel any better Stahn, I didn't notice the errors in the corner until you mentioned it ^_^

I try to be as critical on myself as I am on other users on the site. I should at least be able to take what I dish out. I already made another version, though I don't know if it's worth the trouble to replace it. (It's only a minor change...)

Also, this image caught my eye quickly on Pixiv because all I've been seeing too many Game_Cgs on Kona. Unfortunately, VN CGs tend to all use a VERY similar coloring and shading style. This art style is a nice contrast to the "genricism" of the game cg style.

Part of reason I like this image is because it actually looks like the artist put some personal effort into making it with the drawing style. The sketch-style linework and the very gradated coloring scheme/style (almost watercolor-like?) really complement each other here. Kohaku's pose and facial expression just cinches the images ^_~

The style is quite amazing, I really do like the shading especially around the face and eyes.
Would you know who the artist is?

Offhand, no. But if you have a Pixiv.net account account, just following the source link I supplied (on the left). The artist doesn't have much posted there though (only 16 posts total as of this comment.)
