Actually, the artists DID srew up something: the light beam across the horizon. I'm guessing it was one of the very last things added to the image. It make Miku look semi-transparent. Granted, it could very well be intentional positioning of the light, but I think making Miku look see-through is a side-effect of that they didn't notice. It lines right up with the horizon, so it looks like you can see the horizon through her. She's pretty solid everywhere else, so I doubt it's an intended effect.

Actually... On closer look, the BG bleed thourgh the edges of her arms and hair around the horizon. You can just make out the overlap. Dunno if it's intended or a side effect of the blending.

Lastly, one again, an artist screws up their creation by using JPEG compression rather than something lossless. I'm pretty sure the lensflare effect in the lower right wouldn't be so fugly if they used something like PNG instead (color banding instead of a smoother gradient).

Yeah, the light makes her look like she has anti-freeze for blood...

Actually, some of the blocks can be seen through her shoulders and arms as well.

I mentioned/inferred that with my second paragraph, but *shrug* you get the idea.

To me she's not transparent, the lines of the blocks are discountinued. If you look closer you will see that the line of light are parrallel like it was a camera effect;

This place reminds me of the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in Berlin.
