Ah... Probably just before you uploaded this Flan, I was considering doing so myself in order to break the spree of game_cg images, but I was unsure about how stringent the standards against aliasing had become... If you're fine with uploading it though (and I figured you would be =) ) then now I know \o/
So many good posts with aliasing these days >_< Here it's bad in some hair strands and the centre lamp pattern. But other parts of the image looks okay.

I agree. We should be making more use of <Shaun of the Deleted, Deletion Appeals> forum to balance the technical vs artistic value of posts.

Ah, but posts usually aren't deleted for aliasing.

It is more that posts are not approved because of "aliasing issues" and wind up against the 3 day rule.
A lot of those are scans too, mind you. Or posts with various other issues (either lack of overall quality or blurriness, or having textures that make it hard to discern whether something is acceptable or not, etc.)

Then it would be better if the reason for deletion stated those issues rather than "not approved for 3+ days" such as post #212578 which is an upscale so the uploader knows why it did not get approved. :(

Edit: Why create problems by not spelling out in the first place, any genuine quality issues with a post, which results in the uploader potentially asking for a reassessment in the appeals forum?
We've come full circle, because, when that happens, they can then go to the forum. :)

See, it all works out.
