I'm new here and have read over a lot of the help pages, but I'm still reading. I was wondering if the tag white is really necessary? Sure it describes the background in most cases, but isn't it to generic of a tag?

It's true that's a generic tag but I think it's good for people like me with dual screens

One more question there seem to a lot of posts with tagme as a tag yet the have many other tags. In what cases should the tagme tag be removed?

tagme should be removed when post has a valid source. A manga/anime title, or artist. Even if the characters are missing tagme should be removed.
