actually if you check out GAGraphic's site, they do their wallpaper downloads in zipped jpegs... so... it could possibly have come with the artifacts in the original... I haven't found this one yet on their site, but who knows how long ago it was featured...

I don't blame you... having seen the original, the edit seems nonsensical anyways... i can see doing that for your own personal satisfaction if lens flares are your personal fetish... but... meh... *shrug*
