SK7000 said: what makes you so certain the you can choose the optimal solution?
The OVERabundance of poor alternatives.
SK 7000 said: Picking the best solution will sometimes involve acknowledging that other people might be able to make a more informed decision than we can.
As for letting others make a decision stumping our personal growth, wouldn't that be the case only if we refuse to pay attention and learn from the decisions of others?
I don't think you are addressing humbleness at all with your musings.

I can do but little more than see how you are correct about this. Good point! But I must point out that I find it risky to assume learning value remains the same in this situation. Especially when it is so difficult to understand one another. It comes as natural to me to assume it will decrease. *not like that is such a strong argument or anything but I should mention it for clarity*
Indeed I am not a very humble person although if needed I can make anyone believe so assuming I had that intention from the start and those that know better don't interact all too much. Hardly a good quality I know :/. It even seems hypocritical for someone with my low-self esteem and constant doubt. I'm not sure I understand this position of mine so well actually.

Sum of parts, whole designs and strange notions
That's because the whole consists of the components, their parts and the relations between them. This is the difference between a system and "a bunch of ingredients". For some reason most designs are completely oblivious to this little bit of knowledge. Any chemist will tell you what happens when you randomly toss stuff together and pretend they don't have an effect on each other.
In short. the argument was that components alone do not make a system. I counter the argument that components increase in value by saying they are worth more. This is obviously debatable. I myself find it an illogical conclusion pieced together from a flawed design.
My current view on bias and beliefs
I see bias as a perspective based on individual morality without consideration of the environment (which makes it prejudiced and unfair towards another perspective). The person can be aware of it. As Stahn explained with the images he did not like himself he could still be neutral and efficient about it yet obviously he doesn't like the picture. Some people are above bias and some others so obviously are not. Clearly when we discuss bias as unfair fews towards others we can see that this is immoral and the beliefs of a person will define the morals. It remains to be seen if the person involved can actually act upon such moral guidance. Clearly Stahn can :3. But I would ask out of curiosity, how often has your mood been that it wasn't so? I myself need to be pushed pretty far before I even nudge a moral. In fact if it is about protect something from others I'm more quick to do so than protecting myself. Usually when I need to protect myself I don't mind simply being evasive or just adapt to the situation.
