They are masking the internal issues... Like Kuroko's misdirection :D Bu it's been going on for so long, that it does not actually work on Russian residents. But they are all extremely unmotivated to actually try to do something. At least those with actual powerHolzfeller said:

Oh, thats nothing really frightening. I can freely browse konachan.com through anonimizer =P

To speaking freankly, the absurdity in this country has passed all bounds, last years.

Browsing still works.
XCanG said:

Does anyone know a good webproxy through which adding to favorites will work here? I tired a few, but with no luck yet...
I still do not understand why konachan.com banned itself.
it's Roskomnadzor, that demanded it. Governmental thing. They had a choice either let government restrict access to their site from Russia completely or use redirection to safe site. They chose the latter.alex71987 said:

Можно сделать бан для: незалогиненых и аккаунтов, не включённых в список исключений и имеющий IP из России.Simbiat said:

May be ban only for: unlogined users and accounts that are not included in the list of exceptions and have IP from Russia. It would be logical.
Simbiat said:

Sorry guys to much word for my english level, cant did it realy well. But i hope someone can translate it, and carry to admins.

Yes, that's just what is unpleasant. You want it that on the site it was not, instead the user who uses such bypassed methods to obtain eventually be made available.

---------------------------------
So, in fact, that is exactly what is unpleasant. Here and for proper control is no prohibition and at the same time do not have access too. Ordinary people it gives problems, but who knows as it bypass - no.

This is not a solution. They get IP changed - they see it again and then send another notification...XCanG said:

I doubt that they will actually monitor the site. Well.. Unless people will be reporting it. Like citizens. Like simple users. And simple users usually tend to understand the difference between hentai and pedo and lolicon and pedo... So, chances of the site getting reported again are not that big.
Administration should simply keep the redirect on for a short period of time and then lift it. OR make a way to bypass it. Like add a page, where it tells that user will violate the all-mighty and all-righteous Russian law if he goes further. And by further - have a link that will bypass redirect.
r even better - same thing in the settings. Like, by default - it's a safe version. But in settings, if IP is a Russian one enable a checkbox, which will enable the non-safe content. Near the checbox - notification, that Russian law is so cool and constantly thinking about our children, that the said non-safe content was deemed prohibited by them and by enabling the checkbox you (user) will go against mother Russia's will and may be prosecuted up to chemical castration or something.
Considering, that we already can disable non-safe content via filters, this checkbox seems a pretty easy solution to keep the access, but yet be compliant with Russian law. And yet spit in its face.
If someone did not understand - there was a lot of sarcasm in the above lines...
We were getting reports by RU gov on a daily base, they called out random hentai "child porn". This redirect will stay on until the great Russian firewall stops (and that's never)
If we disable the redirect then konachan.com, and everything hosted on the same IP will be banned forever in Russia.

you are wrong, they cant ban ip for russia. i will tell you what they do. They are send ban list to provider and provider redirect from banned site to nothing (like page "this site is locked"). if u change ur dns-server to anything alse, not automatic, ban like this is nothing. for example i can easily open gelbooru. sorry for my bad english.slayerduck said:

Me too. And it is more likely that ISPs will block the sites only for Roscomnadzor's IPs (they know their range after all). After all, all major ISPs were against this idea in the first place.latre said:

They block DNS, but also IP's sometimes. on the http://eais.rkn.gov.ru/ you can lookup domains AND ips.latre said:

sometimes like never ? anyway i say only one more thing: i like konachan.com, but konachan.net without most content dont have interest for me.slayerduck said:

Actually our gov can ban whole Konachan including safe one, there may be no particular reason at all. Just because why not, that already happened some times, as I remember.
I wonder why they still dont blocking every anime tracker whith hentai or ecchi.
Go riot or something, i can´t do anything about your government wanting to censor stuff.latre said:

It's literally out of our hands... They just block it, we can't do anything. You either see less of Konachan (with the reroute) or no Konachan at all... It sucks, but sadly there's nothing we can do about it... :S
yeah right... Like there is someone who can actually organize something, that will actually have an effect... And based on what? Government blocking konachan? Phew.... I like konachan, but really, it's not such a big motivation. A few blocked sites will not cause a riot ever.slayerduck said:

Besides there are lots of other issues caused by government. And I still see VVP alive... I wonder why... It's sarcasm, of course.
(attention, bad english below)
This is how to get rid of the flu, dropping atomic bombs on the cities...
Russian Government - broken roads, veterans of World War II without a roof over their head, corruption... ok, what should we do? yes! let's ban the Internet!
I love it.
But seriously, it's still no reason to be upset. Anonymizers still work. No problem.

In Russia is everything done "only so it would work". The fact it works does not mean it's working the right way as it should work.morganeverett said:

This is a ordinary state of our government. You can get into there through familiar influential figures or be a criminal authority. Our country is ruled by powerful "stupid".Simbiat said:

Now about the main:
I checked Roskomnadzor's (RKN) site, their ban register and saw some things:
They ban some pictures from danbooru, gelbooru, sankakucomplex (SC), but didn't block acccess to these sites. And after RKN was sent into hell by SC, RKN banned the article in SC, where it was spoken, but isn't banned access to the site.
I'm sure, that is just only RKN's cunning move to force konachan's administration to block 18+ access for all russians, even for those who are over 18, and this action is wrongfully from RKN, who blind eye to legal code of the Russian Federation.
If konachan's administration will deny the redirection and return all things to square one, no sanctions from RKN will follow, because RKN can't do something, not doing it though the ass.
I believe that the majority of users with russian ip agree with me. Forbidden access can be treated by anonymaizers, but the small part of existing content is the same forbidden access anyway.
If admins will read it, please reply on this message. (and sorry about my english)
