It isn't already compatible? Pretty sure i've used it here before.
is already here. Maybe outdated, since piclens redirects to cooliris.<link href="http://konachan.com/post/piclens" id="pl" rel="alternate" title="RSS" type="application/rss+xml">

Maybe my cooliris is oudated, but I can't seem to get it to work with the site. I'll go try updating.
Ah-ha, I was using some whacked beta of firefox which wasn't compatible with Cooliris, hence it not working.
Anyway, now it works. Hell yes. Thanks :3

It's a privacy theft app, I'm not supporting it anymore. Related: forum #1939
This decision should be final until they change their privacy rules.

I noticed it changed from App to tab several months ago.
I didn't much like that because before it would remain in the background, restorable to the same location. Now you lose it because it uses target=self
Any Firefox Add-on should strive to match the privacy the browser is capable of.

besides, the "if you have cooliris..." teaser should be removed as well.
I'll remove it on next maintenance. You can read about it on the cooliris page, there's the Legal and Privacy links on the footer if I recall correctly.[Lemmy] said:

that's the link to the TOS for their service. what exactly makes you say that they are stealing your privacy?Shuugo said:

How do you steal someone's privacy anyways?
Well each time you use cooliris they are saving all the URLs related to this site, and a copy of the images for "evaluation" purposes.[Lemmy] said:

In the end:
- It uses a lot of BW
- I don't like this http://www.cooliris.com/legal/privacy/
- And there's some basic functionality that would need to be implemented as blacklists.
where did you see that about copies of images?Shuugo said:

I rly like browsing konachan through cooliris, any chance you can make the cooliris support optional for ppl who'd rather have some data recorded in trade for the functionality?
When I hear someone saying that, somewhere deep down inside me a little child dies. Then, I get the urge to hit my head on the table.locilocisu said:

This is probably the main reason.Shuugo said:

No until they change their policy, there's not going to be official support.
I'm not going to sacrifice any bandwidth for an app that promotes such an abusive EULA and Privacy Agreements

I have downloaded coliris only for this site, but it wasn't good at allShuugo said:

Cooliris is a tool that lets you browse photo/video galleries much easier. You can get all of the pictures displayed in a nice long strip, get bigger previews, and flip through stuff faster. It also makes browsing with a touchpad far easier.
God, the amount of time I'd spend on here with Cooliris...
Anyway, it's easy as hell to make the site work with it: http://developer.cooliris.com/?p=full
And, www.cooliris.com if you want to see what it is.
