I know what you mean. My Gameboy was the first thing I ever bought. Nowadays, we have kids that have no idea who Mew Two is, and the new Pokemon look like Neopets.. Shameful.

I really like the way their expressions are drawn. It's an almost benevolent confidence. And Pikachu's face is adorable.

Ironically I just watched the "Origin of Mewtwo" on youtube after I found out about the existence of that side story.

Old School Pokemon? Almost. This version of red is from the Heartgold and Soulsilver versions, not the original Silver and Gold version. In the original version, he did not have Lapras, instead, he had a Espeon. Another difference, though not as big is the pokemon change: In Gold and Silver, his pokemon ranged from level 73 (Espeon) to 81 (Pikachu), in Heartgold and Soulsilver, they range from level 80 (Lapras) to 88 (Pikachu). Heartgold and Soulsilver, good updates to good classics. With how they have been doing things, we should he seeing Ruby and Sapphire rereleased as DS titles with updated graphics shortly enough. Along with the third version of Black And White (Pokemon....uh...Grey or Rainbow?)

I'm wondering about the new name too... either Grey or Rainbow would be accurate. Seriously, I think they are out of ideas for colors/names for the next generation (if there will be another). There can't be more legendary pokemons, right? xD they already have pokemons that formed sky, earth, from planets to universe, to EVERYTHING... I don't know, maybe this is the end of pokemon saga as we know it :S

I wish they don't do the same digimon did, like morphing with the digimon... there is a manga of B&W in where they do that. PLEASE don't do that in the games -_-'

BTW what is shown here is Red, obviously in his updated FireRed/LeafGreen clothing, his team: RGB+Y starter Pokemon, Road-Block Snorlax, Silph.CO gift Lapras. (Basicly the 6 any trainer will encounter through story progression only, no wild encounter)

The GS+C Red is an aged and successful Trainer Red from RGB+Y.
