With images like this (two drawings with only slight differences), I like to keep tabs on which one gets higher votes. It's interesting to see what people prefer.

Order of which image was posted first does have an effect on which image people see first and likely vote for. You would have to run a series of experiments, where the images are deleted and reposted some time later in opposite order. Would be an interesting experiment.

I can see that, but given they were uploaded one right after the other I don't think the first had much of a time advantage.
