It's stinky.
Hot sweat on a cool night will evaporate and condense as steam. I used to see it all the time back when i played (NA) Football. You get pretty hot and sweaty under those pads.

I used to think it was related to heat too, but then I read an actual explanation that was basically what Yume said. I was like, "...Oh 😬"
