Do we apply the seifuku tag to male uniforms, as well? Because if that tag in this image is referring to the girl.... then I obviously applied to the wrong school xD'
Seifuku is literally "uniform". The more female-specific term is "serafuku" (from "sailor uniform"). There's a male-specific term as well (gakuran), but we use neither of the gender-specific version for simplicity because they are non-all-inclusive subsets of "seifuku". (i.e. serafuku/gakuran are all seifuku, but the reverse is not true.)
So yes, "seifuku" techncially applies to male school uuniforms as well.
