Well...Even then, the Evas were derived from what was termed the "Messengers of God" anyway. So that TECHNICALLY precludes Eva from being God...I think...Megami only knows what the hell was up in Hideki's mind when he came up with Eva...

Eva-01 is taller and slower than Gurren Lagann. My money's on Gurren Lagann, unless Eva-01 goes berserk.
