Just her hair shaped like ears. Some chars are designed that why. Nozomi from Mayoi Neko Overrun! is designed like that. (She's not really a catgirl, despite the moving tuffs of hair that look like ears: I've seen other series with chars that have moving hair. Look at Touka in Saki and Chiaki from Minami-ke.)
Nozomi can move hers more than just up/down, so they have to be real - have you ever heard of anyone able to move hair without hand, head, magic or wind?
Then there is her extreme leaps and hearing good enough to hear a helicopter before anyone else.

Don't forget it's anime: Miyako from Hidamari Sketch has the same hearing capability (the Matsuri Ep concerning the "cursed" yukata Hiro loans her). And I've listed chars with moving hair. (It's a common anime gimmick.)
Also, ep 2 of Overrun at about 13 minutes in hints Nozomi having normal ears. Though the girls tend to have their ears hidden by their hair often, they get shown now and then. So unless she has TWO SETS of ears...^_^;
As cute as Nozomi is, she's not an actual catgirl (her physical abilities I attribute to typical anime-inspired hyperbole of human abilities.) Besides, Overrun! isn't quite as off-the-wall as something like To-LoveRU to have non-human chars from what I can tell.

Do you not watch the opening credits? She has human ears, but nothing says wither they work.StahnAileron said:

Nah...I tend not to pay attention to OPs after the first couple eps...Unless they change the OP later on. Same with EDs. That's 3 minutes per ep I save to watch more anime. ^_^
And SciFi, no offense (all in jest, you know ^_~) but you seem to REALLY want Nozomi to be a bonafide catgirl, don't you? ^_^; From my POV, I just see Nozomi as a human with cat-like hair features (like the girl in this image.) The human ears kinad reinforce it view...But whatver :p

In ep10 she uses those puffs of hair like ears tho.StahnAileron said:

Yeah, I know...but after watching other anime with chars whose hair moves on it's own, it's not enough of a sign to me to mark Nozomi as a catgirl simply from that.
Putting aside the discussion about Nozomi...
I guess the girl in aforementioned picture is a (2D) biologically normal human without cat features. Her (Google translated) description on the game's Getchu page (http://cl3.getchu.com/soft.phtml?id=670738) does not mention anything about her being a catgirl.

koichoco! I like it very much.
