It was posted by the Azur Lane Twitter because this art was MADE FOR THEM IN AN OFFICIAL CAPACITY. They own the artwork.

And "repost" isn't the appropriate word either. The one the artist posted on their own account is far lower res/quality. Judging from your comments on post #303046 (ie. "more details (whatever they are I don't see any)"), you seem to have trouble with that concept.

If they happened to be completely identical, we would rather link to the artist's own account. But since they differ, we will only link to the source of the image posted. And naturally we would choose to keep the higher quality image.

Again, if you really want links back to the artists' accounts, take the initiative to populate the wikis for the artist tags. Even just linking to danbooru's wiki page for the artist should be acceptable. Although I don't really like that as much, it does have an advantage in that it's far less work to keep it up to date.

not trying to praise myself but if you're trying to be helpful and make contents here more precise instead of going ham on OCDing here,

either drop reference materials in the comments for others to lookup,

frankly, Jennifer you've been here since 2017 and i believe you're a frequent flyer in kona here, i suppose you're familar how here differs to like Danbooru,Gelbooru etc. .

nobody said anything about source on kona should only ever be a singularity just like the sample i brought up,
sometimes the first appearance by the creator of said piece can be on a social media or some other media hosting site then somewhere else first, does NOT rule out neither being inferior to the opposite, no harm adding comments that let others newbies know artists had other platform existences either.

moreover, since you've also mentioned you do visit other platforms and aware of difference of rules, than i trust that you know each respective places do had their own rule s and thefore must be somewhere you could have pay a quick visit before commit to what you've tried to do. i myself in the early times in here sinned just as much and you can tell by how 1/3 of my uploads are rejected. adapting aint so hard. Adjust way you express your thoughts isnt either. take your time.

by this point I'm way off topic base on the comment posting guidelines so i expect a off topic spoiler needed (albeit 10 years already i still not used to how to apply it here), but then again, contributing isnt so hard. its the freaking internet not world at war. keep it cool mate.

Supposing you already have the 1:1 source AND links to all of the artist's accounts, what would you do with a link to an inferior version of the image on one of their accounts? I could understand if it has some interesting commentary or other information. But the proper place to mention that would be in the comments.

And the proper place to list the artist's accounts is in the wiki for the artist tag. You can't list all of their accounts in the source anyway.

And there's certainty no reason to hide the fact that the best version of an image came from somewhere other than the artist's pixiv account.
